About The Position

Premier Enterprise Solutions is seeking a senior Staff Officer SME IV to serve as a trusted advisor on strategic deterrence, WMD counter-proliferation, and intelligence support to Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3). This role supports the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence & Security (OUSW(I&S)) and OSIP leadership, operating at the highest levels of national security policy and interagency coordination. You will develop policy, deliver executive-level products, and coordinate across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE), U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), Joint Staff, IC, and interagency partners. This is a high-visibility, mission-critical role requiring deep expertise in deterrence, precision writing, and the ability to operate in complex, high-stakes environments.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • SAP eligibility required
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 10+ years as a Staff Officer, Action Officer, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic deterrence, NC3, and counter-proliferation / counter-WMD
  • Experience supporting DoD / IC policy and intelligence efforts
  • Proven experience drafting executive-level products for GO/SES leaders
  • Proven experience supporting NSC-level coordination
  • Proven experience coordinating across DIE / IC, Joint Staff, CCMDs (USSTRATCOM preferred), and interagency stakeholders
  • Exceptional writing and briefing skills
  • Expert-level Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong understanding of Title 10 / Title 50 authorities
  • Strong understanding of DoD staffing and correspondence processes (DoDM 5110.04)
  • Ability to operate in high-tempo environments
  • Ability to deliver accurate, decision-ready products under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work across complex interagency environments

Responsibilities

  • Develop policy, deliver executive-level products, and coordinate across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE), U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), Joint Staff, IC, and interagency partners.
  • Prepare executive briefings and staff packages on deterrence strategy.
  • Support policy development for intelligence support to NC3.
  • Coordinate across the NC3 enterprise and USSTRATCOM stakeholders.
  • Develop products addressing adversary WMD programs, proliferation pathways, and emerging threats.
  • Maintain awareness of global WMD trends and delivery systems.
  • Assess commercial and emerging technologies for counter-WMD applications.
  • Conduct compatibility analysis to reduce duplication across DoD and IC efforts.
  • Develop processes supporting deterrence and counter-WMD missions.
  • Apply Title 10 and Title 50 authorities to operational and intelligence activities.
  • Represent WMD-Deterrence in interagency meetings and national-level working groups.
  • Coordinate across the DIE / IC, Joint Staff, CCMDs (including USSTRATCOM), and interagency partners.
  • Develop and coordinate high-priority staff packages.
  • Shepherd packages through coordination, legal review, and executive approval.
  • Support decisions at the OSD level and NSC level.
  • Prepare executive briefings, white papers, and staff packages.
  • Prepare meeting minutes (within 5 business days).
  • Prepare travel reports (within 10 business days).
  • Contribute to Monthly Status Reports.
