About The Position

Parsons is looking for an exceptionally talented Staff Officer/Executive Assistant to join our team! In this role, you will support the Chief Data Officer for a federal Agency in Springfield, VA, providing high-level administrative and executive support to ensure the efficient operation of the office and successful execution of the Agency’s mission.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S Citizen
  • Must have an active TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience; additional years experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience supporting senior executives, such as General/Flag Officers, Civilian SESs, or corporate equivalents
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience analyzing job-related problems and recommending solutions that require coordination across multiple areas, disciplines, and organizations
  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in planning and implementing programs or projects involving diverse objectives
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to protocol requirements
  • An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required to apply, however, the selected candidate must be able to obtain a Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph clearance prior to the start date.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Agency or NGA instructions and guidelines for managing records

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling and coordinating meetings, calendars, and events for senior leadership
  • Gathering, inputting, and retrieving electronic data; maintaining office records and files
  • Researching and analyzing data to prepare reports, presentations, and briefing materials
  • Preparing routine correspondence and distributing briefing and read-ahead materials in accordance with Agency standards
  • Managing office supplies, initiating equipment trouble tickets, and coordinating office moves
  • Utilizing Agency systems such as the Defense Travel System (DTS), PeopleSoft, SharePoint, conference room and facility scheduling tools, VTC/teleconferencing/IC Connect/Webex tools
  • Managing multiple projects with varying deadlines in a fast-paced environment; adjusting working hours as necessary to accomplish the mission
  • Preparing periodic tasker and staff package status reports; developing metrics to keep leadership informed of late, pending, and new actions
  • Establishing milestones and schedules, with wide latitude for independent judgment, to resolve staff and administrative management issues in coordination with the Government lead
