University of Iowa Health Care Department of Nursing is seeking a 100% Staff Nurse to work for the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center with the GI Malignancy team. This role involves applying nursing theory to patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation. The nurse will coordinate care across settings, develop and implement patient care plans, and collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include discharge planning, implementing nursing interventions according to policies, and maintaining a safe environment. The position is 100% effort with a schedule of Monday-Friday, offering 8-10 hour shifts. Extended shifts are required once every 4 weeks, but there are no nights, holidays, or weekends. The salary starts at a minimum of $61,183 at 100% effort and is commensurate with experience and effort.
