University of Iowa Health Care Department of Nursing is seeking a 70% Staff Nurse to work for the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center with the Clinic Intake team. This role involves applying nursing theory to patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation. The nurse will coordinate care across settings, develop patient care plans, implement interventions, and document patient responses. Collaboration with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams is essential, as is the development and implementation of transfer/discharge plans. The position requires adherence to department policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure a safe environment, including following universal precautions. The role is 70% effort (28 hours per week) with available 8-10 hour shifts Monday-Friday. Extended shifts are required once every 4 weeks. No nights, holidays, or weekends are involved. The salary starts at a minimum of $61,183 at 100% effort, commensurate with experience and percent effort.
