University of Iowa Health Care Department of Nursing is seeking a 100% Staff Nurse to work for the Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center with the Surgical Oncology Team. This role involves applying nursing theory to patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation. The nurse will coordinate care across settings, develop patient care plans based on individual patient conditions and circumstances, and implement interventions. Documentation and reporting of interventions and patient responses are key. Collaboration with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams is essential, as is the development and implementation of discharge planning. The nurse will implement interventions according to departmental policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment, following universal precautions. The position is 100% effort, with available Monday-Friday, 8-10 hour shifts. Extended shifts are required once every 4 weeks. No nights, holidays, or weekends are involved. The salary starts at a minimum of $61,183 at 100% effort and is commensurate with experience and effort percentage.
