Staff Nurse - Adult ED -Full time Nights
About The Position
NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for its Adult Emergency Department. ED nurses independently assess patient conditions and rapidly coordinate multidisciplinary care, providing care ranging from high-technology interventions to community trauma care. Nurses identify challenges, support families, and organize care teams in a fast-paced environment. The hospital is a designated 911 receiving hospital with Level I Trauma Centers, a Psychiatric Emergency Receiving Center, and a citywide Burn Center. Nurses collaborate with paramedics, physicians, and other clinicians and use techniques such as induced hypothermia and digital radiology. This is a full-time position with 12-hour overnight shifts. Weekend and holiday work is required. The position requires on-site presence, and employees should live within commuting distance of NewYork-Presbyterian. Travel expenses are not reimbursed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Current New York State RN license, or willingness to obtain one.
- BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- At least 1 year of previous nursing experience.
Nice To Haves
- Certifications in TNCC, CEN, ENPC, or TPEN.
- Strong Emergency Department nursing experience.
Responsibilities
