About The Position

The Registered Nurse is a licensed professional nurse responsible for direct and indirect nursing care. The nurse provides care, health maintenance, teaching, counseling, planning, and restoration to support optimal functioning and comfort. As a health care team leader, the Registered Professional Nurse delivers safe, patient-centered, goal-oriented care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse also directs patient teaching and guides ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures.
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
• BLS certification.
• Demonstrate continuing education in accordance with state regulations.
• Ensure compliance with the unit-specific scope of practice.
• Speak English in an understandable manner.
• Possess adequate sight and hearing, with prosthetics permitted, to meet the requirements of the position.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of postgraduate experience from an accredited RN nursing program in a medical/surgical or addictions medicine setting.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
