About The Position

Avista is seeking a Staff Nurse for San Joseph Children Respite House in Limerick, part of its Children’s Services. The respite house provides overnight support to children with complex disability needs. The role involves supporting children and their families in a child- and family-centred, community-based and socially inclusive manner, in keeping with Avista’s values and commitment to quality, best practice and research. The nurse will work as part of a team and work varied hours on a day and night roster. The service operates seven days a week. The position is offered as a permanent full-time contract of 37.5 hours per week and a permanent part-time contract of 18.75 hours per week. Salary is €38,166–€56,592 (LSI), pro rata, and is subject to relevant public sector experience.

Requirements

Experience working with children with complex needs and their families.
Current NMBI registration; applications are also welcomed from pre-registered nurses.
Full clean manual Irish driving licence.
Proficiency in English.
