Staff Nurse
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) or Graduate Nurse (GN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities; prevents illness and injury; and alleviates suffering through diagnosis and treatment of human responses and advocacy for individuals and families. The RN or GN is responsible and accountable for complying with standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services policies, the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, the Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the Bill of Patient Rights. The role promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. The position is based in the Intensive Care Unit at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital and is scheduled for 24 hours per week on the day shift. Compensation is $40.52–$57.48 per hour, depending on experience. Experienced candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Current New York State RN license or a valid New York State Limited Permit to practice as a Graduate Nurse.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
- Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting.
- Professional certification in a related nursing specialty.
- Relevant skills certification, such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC, as required by the assigned home unit.
