About The Position
The Staff Nurse provides compassionate, high-quality care to patients on a 13-bed Medical-Surgical observation floor. The position is part of a close-knit team and contributes to the healthcare system’s sole Med-Surg floor, with an emphasis on patient-centered care and kindness. The nurse assesses and monitors patients, administers prescribed medications and treatments, develops individualized care plans, collaborates with healthcare professionals, educates patients and families, and maintains accurate records in accordance with hospital policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients on the Medical-Surgical unit.
- Conduct patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress.
- Safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and medical conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
