About The Position

The Staff Nurse skillfully administers total patient care in accordance with Emergency Nursing Standards of Practice and provides leadership and clinical expertise in assessing, planning, and delivering emergency care. The role provides specialized primary nursing care for acutely ill and injured trauma patients in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required and must be maintained through the American Heart Association.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required within 12 months of employment and must be maintained throughout employment.
• Phlebotomy Certification or IV Certification required.
• Proficiency in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Ability to use problem-solving techniques and critical thinking.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Ability to organize care and activities for multiple patients.

Nice To Haves

• Critical Care or Medical/Surgical experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• Successful completion of a Progressive Care Course or Progressive Care Certification preferred.
