RN Emergency Department (per diem)
About The Position
Hartford HealthCare invites an Emergency Department RN to join MidState Medical Center, part of Connecticut’s most comprehensive healthcare network. The Emergency Department features 56 private rooms, convenient access to laboratory and radiology services, EPIC patient charting, Primary Stroke Center designation, and a dedicated Acute Behavioral Health Unit. The RN works in a collaborative environment with interdisciplinary teams and a patient-centered care model. Under the direction and general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the registered nurse uses evidence-based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies and procedures, and medical staff direction. The nurse applies the nursing process to develop a plan of care that addresses the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and families.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of Connecticut.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
- Self-directed in the management of patient care.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- Previous Emergency Nursing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Use evidence-based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies and procedures, and direction from the medical staff.
