RN - 1A Inpatient Psych (Nights) PT
About The Position
The Staff Nurse, RN provides professional nursing care by applying nursing skills and processes to develop, implement, and evaluate patients’ plans of care. As the primary caregiver, the nurse provides direct patient care and collaborates with other care team members, physicians, and patients and families to achieve optimal outcomes. The role requires independent decision-making as well as collaboration and involves access to confidential patient information. The nurse works under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and the indirect supervision of the Director of Nursing. This is a part-time position on the 1A inpatient psychiatric unit in Chillicothe, with two night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Every third weekend is required. Hourly pay is based on nursing experience and education.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care using nursing skills and processes.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patients’ plans of care.
- Provide direct patient care as the primary caregiver.
- Collaborate with care team members, physicians, and patients and families to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Make decisions independently and in collaboration with others.
- Handle confidential patient information.
