About The Position

The Staff Nurse, RN provides professional nursing care by applying nursing skills and processes to develop, implement, and evaluate each patient’s plan of care. As the primary caregiver, the nurse provides direct patient care and collaborates with other care team members, physicians, and patients and families to achieve optimal outcomes. The role involves access to confidential patient information and independent decision-making, as well as decisions made in collaboration with others. The Staff Nurse works under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and the indirect supervision of the Director of Nursing. This part-time position is in the Chillicothe Emergency Department and is scheduled for two shifts per week, 3 p.m.–3 a.m., with every other weekend required.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing skills and processes to develop, implement, and evaluate patients’ plans of care.
• Provide direct patient care as the primary caregiver.
• Collaborate with care team members, physicians, and patients and families to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Make decisions independently and in collaboration with others.
