About The Position

Job Description Space is a critical domain, connecting our technologies, our security and our humanity. While others view space as a destination, we see it as a realm of possibilities, where we can do more — we can innovate, invest, inspire and integrate our capabilities to transform the future. Being a valued member of the Mechanisms Engineering organization, your responsibilities may include some of the following: Lead the direction of other engineers to research, design, analyze, and develop innovative components, assemblies, and systems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical rigor and timely delivery. Functionally own mechanical systems and delegate tasks. Develop, review, and maintain engineering documents, specifications, and technical analyses, including 3D solid models and 2D drawings. Be a member of integrated product teams, reciprocally interacting with other engineers, adjacent functions, suppliers, and stakeholders, to support products through the entire engineering lifecycle. Represent the organization in technical and stakeholder reviews. Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and test personnel to supervise the build and validation of hardware in a production environment. Mentor and train team members. Occasional travel.
