Staff Interaction Designer, Agentic Docs
About The Position
As a Staff Interaction Designer on Google’s Agentic Docs team, you will define patterns for how AI agents research, orchestrate, and collaborate with people. Working closely with Product, Engineering, and Research, you will identify new user behaviors and emerging patterns in autonomous productivity. You will lead the design of experiences that help users move from a blank page to a finished project with the help of intelligent agents. You will ensure these experiences align and scale across Google Workspace so users have a cohesive experience across products. The role applies user-centered design methods from concept through execution and contributes to the evolution of Google’s design language. Google Cloud provides enterprise-grade solutions to customers in more than 200 countries and territories.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in product design or UX.
- Include a portfolio, website, or other relevant work link in the resume, with a viewable link or access instructions.
Nice To Haves
- 5 years of experience in interaction design.
- Experience working with consumer-facing products.
- Experience in changing environments.

Responsibilities
- Direct the UX goal for identifying opportunities for agentic and autonomous document experiences, guiding a cross-functional, cross-product team from early-stage research to global launch.
- Develop user journeys, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate complex agentic behaviors and explain design rationale to leadership and cross-functional peers.
- Identify user needs and mental models for “AI as a collaborator,” and define the end-to-end Agentic Docs experience so it integrates with Editors and the wider Google Workspace ecosystem.
- Contribute to product strategy by staying ahead of market trends in LLMs and agentic workflows.
- Maintain a high bar for design craft so complex AI-driven features feel intuitive and deliver outcomes for the product portfolio.
