As a UX Interaction Designer at Google, you will join a multidisciplinary UX team and collaborate with Engineering and Product Management, using user insights to create industry-leading products. You will take a user-centered, app-first approach to designing intuitive and engaging user journeys, applying strong design craft and a builder’s mindset to create coherent experiences that account for execution, longevity, and scale. You will use systems thinking to assess how components and broader product landscapes relate, and apply AI fluency to prototype with AI tools, understand AI concepts and limitations, and evaluate outputs for accuracy. As a Staff Interaction Designer on the Search Ecosystem, Regulation, and AI team, you will design experiences at the intersection of user and ecosystem needs, emerging global regulations, and generative AI. You will develop design strategies for next-generation Search features that support platforms, publishers, and creators while advancing trust, safety, and global compliance. Your work will include feedback, reporting, and removal systems across Search surfaces; content-safety tools; compliant Search experiences for users under 18; and experiences related to agentic and content-provenance regulations. Google Search is reimagining how and where people search for information while addressing complex engineering challenges and expanding its infrastructure. The team aims to maintain a universally accessible and useful experience relied upon by people around the world.
