As a UX Interaction Designer on Google’s multi-disciplinary UX team, you’ll collaborate with Engineering and Product Management and use user insights to create industry-leading products. You’ll take a user-centered, app-first approach to designing intuitive and engaging user journeys, bringing strong design craft, a builder’s mindset, and an ability to make decisions that support coherent experiences, practical execution, longevity, and scale. The role calls for aesthetic sensibility, systems thinking, and fluency with AI tools and concepts, including the ability to prototype with AI and critically assess outputs for accuracy. As a UX Designer on the CoreX team, you’ll bridge the established Search Design System and the distinct needs of Search Verticals such as Restaurants, Flights, Events, People, TV and Movies, and Sports. You’ll develop experiences across the Search Results Page, AI Overviews, and AI Mode/Modules. As a horizontal designer, your work will establish foundational patterns that can support many products and billions of users. The Search team is reimagining how people search for information while addressing complex engineering challenges and maintaining a universally accessible and useful experience.
