About The Position

At Christian Wheeler Engineering (CWE), we don’t just consult; we solve. We are looking for an ambitious GIT or Staff Geologist to join our geotechnical engineering team. If you’re a quick learner who wants a clear path toward professional licensure, we want to meet you.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in geology from an accredited program.
• You’re not a PG yet but have the drive to become one (and we’ll help you get there!).
• Proficiency with MS Office; bonus points for AutoCAD or Bluebeam skills.
• Comfortable climbing ladders, walking roofs, and working at heights or in confined spaces.
• Sharp written and verbal skills with a knack for maintaining professionalism under pressure.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (you’ll be heading to sites across San Diego and beyond).

Nice To Haves

• AutoCAD or Bluebeam skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinating directly with superintendents and foremen to keep projects moving.
• Performing critical observations and sampling of soil, asphalt, and concrete.
• Assisting with geotechnical investigations and conducting specialized laboratory testing.
• Turning field data into professional reports that guide Southern California’s biggest developers and architects.
