About The Position

Northbeam is building a marketing intelligence platform that gives eCommerce brands a unified view of business data through attribution modeling and customizable dashboards. Its measurement products—including multi-touch attribution, MMM+, and incrementality—use machine learning and first-party data, and the company is expanding its use of AI to help brands turn insights into automated decisions. Northbeam is a fast-growing company with offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles and a remote-friendly work environment. As a Staff Fullstack Engineer, you will design, develop, and deliver fullstack web solutions and own major product features from design through launch. You will work closely with engineers, domain experts, Product Managers, Customer Success, and customers to build a scalable, reliable, and performant platform. The role involves shaping technical direction, solving complex problems, and building features for Northbeam’s marketing analytics dashboard. Success calls for curiosity, a willingness to tackle difficult problems, attention to developer ergonomics, and comfort with a startup pace of development.

Requirements

At least 5 years of expertise building frontend and backend systems with TypeScript.
At least 3 years of expertise with modern component-based libraries such as React.
Experience creating API services using REST and GraphQL.
Proficiency in SQL and BigQuery.
Ability to work independently and deliver production-ready code with high autonomy and minimal guidance.
Ability to drive rapid development while ensuring maintainability and balancing short-term delivery with long-term systems design.
Passion for continuous learning and professional growth.
Proven interest and ability to mentor other engineers.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in Python.
Experience building design systems.
Experience optimizing frontends for large amounts of data and reducing loading time.

Responsibilities

Identify and solve complex, high-impact problems, leading projects involving multiple stakeholders and engineers.
Help set technical direction that impacts the engineering team.
Work with Product Managers, the Customer Success team, and customers to scope projects and build solutions.
Build the Northbeam dashboard, which presents core marketing analytics.
Own and build features end-to-end, from idea through production-ready solution, independently and with engineers across the company.
Optimize the web application for development speed and time to render.
Contribute to standardized technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Mentor other engineers on the team.
