About The Position

A fast-growing music technology startup is seeking a Fullstack Engineer to build and improve products that use AI to transcribe audio into sheet music. This role is onsite at the company’s San Francisco office.

The engineer will improve and maintain the existing web application, contribute to the mobile app, and own features from understanding user needs through designing and implementing scalable solutions. The role involves close collaboration with design, product, and marketing to deliver polished features aligned with the company’s vision and support their visibility.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in web or mobile development using React, React Native, Next.js, or Tailwind.
• Experience with Supabase or similar backend frameworks.
• Strong understanding of API design and integration.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment and take ownership from idea to execution.
• Experience with AWS or other major cloud providers.
• Experience playing an instrument and/or a strong passion for music.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with music transcription and music data formats such as MIDI and MusicXML.

Responsibilities

• Improve and maintain the existing web app so it is intuitive, powerful, and showcases the research team’s latest breakthroughs; work may include major UX changes or new features.
• Contribute to developing the mobile app and bringing the web experience to mobile so users can learn music anywhere.
• Own end-to-end features, from understanding user needs to designing and implementing scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with design, product, and marketing to ensure products and features are visually polished, aligned with the vision, and receive appropriate visibility.
