About The Position

A startup in the manufacturing technology space is building a network of autonomous factories that manufacture component parts for aerospace, defense, and other critical systems. The Fullstack Software Engineer will work onsite in the Buda, Texas office, with multiple engineers being hired for this role. The position involves developing software for a proprietary operating system and working closely with manufacturing equipment, people, and processes.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping real products.
• 2–7 years of full-stack software engineering experience, with strong Python and Django experience.
• U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status (ITAR eligible).
• Strong machine learning knowledge, including fine-tuning models.
• Willingness to take ownership of work from idea through deployment and act without waiting for direction.
• Interest in high-stakes work and fast iteration, where speed, quality, and reliability matter.

Nice To Haves

• Experience building factory, ERP, or industrial- or hardware-adjacent software.
• Experience shipping user-facing products with direct end-user feedback loops.
• Experience with computational geometry, CAD/CAM, or robotics software.

Responsibilities

• Scope, architect, build, and ship full-stack software across the proprietary operating system.
• Develop software related to machines, sensors, robotics, manufacturing workflows, and 3D/CAD/CAM data.
• Work directly with machinists, operators, and CMM technicians to understand problems and deliver software solutions.
• Collaborate with a small team of engineers and operators in a fast-moving environment.
• Deploy software in a live manufacturing environment, identify what breaks or slows users down, and improve it quickly.
• Help build the software and processes needed to replicate the factory model across the United States.
