Staff Front-End Software Engineer

Relativity Space•Long Beach, CA
•$181,000 - $271,000

About The Position

Relativity Space is building rockets, including its Terran R vehicle, and developing the software foundation for an automated rocket factory and integrated launch platform. The Terrestrial Software team partners with design, materials, manufacturing, test, and launch teams to create enterprise applications, industrial automation, data analytics infrastructure, and AI capabilities. Its long-term goal is a modular, scalable software platform for highly autonomous operations on Earth and beyond. The Staff Front-End Software Engineer will own the frontend platform behind the operator UI, including its application shell, design system, and shared data layer. The role will define the architecture and contribution model that allows domain teams to build UI modules within one cohesive application, and lead the consolidation of separate front ends into a unified operator platform. The engineer will build interfaces that render live hardware telemetry at high rates while meeting strict, safety-critical performance budgets, set frontend technical direction and quality standards across the organization, and help develop other engineers. Compensation is determined by experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors. The stated hiring range is $181,000–$271,000 USD. The company also offers competitive salary and equity, generous PTO and sick leave, parental leave, and an annual learning and development stipend.
