Staff Front End Software Engineer
About The Position
Parkade is seeking a skilled, motivated engineer with a strong background and interest in front-end web development. Reporting directly to the VP of Engineering, the Staff Front End Software Engineer will make a meaningful impact and contribute important technical decisions. The role is open to remote candidates, but requires travel to San Francisco for an in-person interview and occasional travel as an employee. The engineer will help build Parkade’s B2B2C SaaS platform, which modernizes private parking management for apartments, mixed-use properties, and offices. The role calls for strong product and user-experience focus, sound architectural judgment, responsible use of AI in development, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-moving startup environment. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on front-end experience building commercial applications.
- Strong interest in and background in front-end web development.
- Care deeply about the product and user experience.
- Demonstrate mature staff-engineer judgment and produce prolifically with AI assistance.
- Enjoy working in a fast-moving, dynamic startup environment.
- Be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Be able to travel to San Francisco for an in-person interview and occasionally as an employee.
Nice To Haves
- Have built something significant from the ground up.
- Be proficient with Python or a similar backend language.
- Have experience setting up and improving CI/CD infrastructure.
- Care about parking and efficient use of space and resources in cities.
