About The Position

QinetiQ US is hiring a Staff Electrical Engineer for its Devens, Massachusetts team. The engineer will design and support mission-ready systems for domestic and international customers, including unmanned ground robots and mission-critical ship and submarine systems. Projects may involve new development, system support, and payload integration, with work spanning the full system lifecycle. The role offers collaboration with experienced senior engineers and contributes to technologies intended to protect service members, security forces, and allies.

Requirements

BSEE or equivalent, with 1–5 years of relevant experience.
Experience using CAD tools for electro-mechanical design and managing bills of materials (BOMs).
Ability to work independently and prioritize competing tasks.
Hands-on experience with standard lab and shop tools.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance if required.

Nice To Haves

Power electronics design experience.
Working knowledge of any of OrCAD, PADS, AutoCAD, or Solidworks.
PCB design experience with Altium Designer.
Hands-on experience working with electro-mechanical actuator systems and controllers.

Responsibilities

Design next-generation systems for domestic and international customers in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Perform analog, digital, mixed-signal, cabling, and PCB design.
Support testing and qualification to verify designs before field deployment.
Work across the full lifecycle, including developing new systems and integrating new or existing payloads into established platforms.
Solve engineering problems with support and review from senior engineers.
