The Staff Educator role involves developing, coordinating, facilitating, and implementing orientation and other educational programs. This position requires teaching curricula approved by the New York State Department of Health, designing and implementing mandatory class models for nursing staff, and providing both theory and practical instruction to students. The educator will also be responsible for preparing testing materials, supervising skills performed by CNAs, LPNs, and RNs, maintaining accurate student records, and evaluating employee performance against established standards and professional development goals. Additionally, the role includes performing in-service training within DOH guidelines and participating in Performance Improvement activities and overall position performance evaluations.
