About The Position

We are seeking a Staff Development Coordinator, RN to support clinical education, staff training, and competency development within the nursing center. This role is ideal for a clinically experienced RN who is passionate about education, mentoring, and ensuring high standards of care through ongoing staff development and training programs.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current RN license required
- Strong clinical nursing skills required
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience preferred
- At least 2 years of long-term care experience preferred
- 1 year of experience in nursing education preferred
- Experience in gerontology preferred
- Experience or training in adult learning preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement education programs based on staff learning needs
- Provide orientation and onboarding for all new nursing personnel
- Supervise and support nursing staff throughout their orientation period
- Ensure clinical care practices align with federal, state, and facility guidelines
- Conduct annual competency evaluations and clinical performance assessments
- Identify training needs and deliver targeted education to staff
- Support employee health programs, including immunization tracking and compliance
- Collaborate with nursing leadership on education and quality improvement initiatives
- Promote safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing practices
- Maintain accurate documentation of training, competency, and compliance activities
