About The Position

Clinica Sierra Vista is seeking a Staff Dentist to provide routine and comprehensive dental care and contribute to patient and community education and dental disease prevention. The dentist works with the Dental Director to develop effective education and prevention programs while keeping the community’s need for regular chairside clinical services in view.

The position’s primary duty is patient care, including diagnostic, preventive, emergency, restorative, maintenance, prosthetic, and oral surgery services. The Staff Dentist also helps establish oral health service standards and an organizational plan for related activities, uses provided techniques and methods appropriately, supervises dental staff, and represents the clinic at professional group meetings. Other work-related duties may be assigned.

Clinica Sierra Vista is a Federally Qualified Health Center serving Fresno and Kern counties through 31 health centers. The organization provides a range of health and social services to patients and communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic dental services.
• Provide preventive dental services.
• Provide emergency dental services.
• Provide complete restorative dental services.
• Provide maintenance therapy.
• Provide prosthetic therapy.
• Provide oral surgery.
• Work with the Dental Director to develop patient and community education and dental disease prevention programs.
• Assist in establishing standards of oral health service and developing an organizational plan to carry out activities.
• Learn to use provided techniques and methods appropriately.
• Supervise dental staff.
• Represent the clinic in meetings of professional groups.
• Perform other work-related duties as needed.

• Base salary of $170,000–$195,000, commensurate with experience.
