About The Position

Bloom Energy is seeking a Staff Chemical Engineer to join its Engineering Development team and assist with Catalyst Development. The role is based in Fremont, California and San Jose, California, and is fully on-site in an office. The position focuses on qualifying and testing catalytic materials, maintaining and troubleshooting process-testing systems and analyzer equipment, analyzing test data, and supporting catalyst projects and applications. The engineer will regularly collaborate with cross-functional teams and prepare status updates and detailed data presentations.

Requirements

B.S. or M.S. in chemical engineering or a related area.
0–3 years of experience.
Internship experience.
Strong chemical engineering background.
Hands-on lab-scale experience, such as through internships or work as a lab assistant.
Familiarity with gas analyzer equipment such as gas chromatography, mass spectroscopy, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong project management skills.
Self-starter.
Team oriented.
Highly organized.
Strong problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge or experience in one or more of catalyst development, process development, air quality, combustion, emissions chemistry, thermodynamics, or fuel processing.
