Staff Backend Engineer - SMS Sales

Postscript is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer for their SMS Sales team. This role involves contributing to the development of a real-time application that drives personalized selling conversations. The engineer will have the autonomy to grow and make a direct impact on customers and the company's bottom line. They will also play a critical leadership role, guiding their team in making technical and business trade-offs to deliver customer value. The ideal candidate should have a passion for building great products, experience leading teams, and the ability to navigate ambiguity and challenges.

• Research, design, and deploy new technical solutions for ground-breaking projects
• Architect, build, and maintain REST APIs for external and internal customers
• Identify bottlenecks and points of scale and outline architectural tradeoffs
• Work closely with product and design teams and mentor other engineers to deliver a high-quality product
• Take ownership and get creative with solutions to achieve outstanding results
• Contribute to the improvement of SDLC processes and procedures
• Lead group sessions and participate in the product to engineering project lifecycle
• Guide the team in making optimal technical and product design decisions
• Mentor other engineers on best practices, standards, and learning opportunities
• Communicate transparently and proactively, define scope, estimate tasks, and manage risk and change

• Track record of leading teams and projects through phases of ambiguity and challenge with great results
• Experience leading or founding teams with an overlap in our space and roadmap (e-commerce subscriber experiences, real time)

• Salary range of USD $190,000 to $224,000 base plus significant equity regardless of location
