FAMILY LAW STAFF ATTORNEY (Worcester)
About The Position
Community Legal Aid (CLA) seeks an attorney to join its Family Law Unit, based in the Worcester office. This role will assist clients with family law matters such as divorce, child support, visitation, and custody. A significant portion of clients are expected to be survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other crimes. The attorney will have substantial client interaction, manage an active caseload, and continue to accept new cases. Responsibilities also include community outreach and education, collaboration with community partners (especially domestic violence service providers), and potentially some grant-reporting activities.
Requirements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated dedication to social justice.
- Commitment to working with low-income communities.
- Licensed attorney who can start sooner (preference given).
Nice To Haves
- Prior family law experience, particularly with survivors of domestic violence.
- Fluency in Spanish.
Responsibilities
