About The Position
The College of Natural and Health Sciences at The University of Tampa has a position available for a Staff Assistant II to provide primary clerical support in a fast-past environment in the Nursing Department. This position reports to the College Dean and the Director/Chair of Nursing.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day administrative operations supporting faculty and staff in the Nursing Department.
- Data input, maintenance, and update of Nursing department database.
- Prepare check/purchase requisitions.
- Maintain and reconciliation of department budgets.
- Maintain student files in the department’s databases.
- Record Nursing department meeting minutes.
- Maintain office inventory and supplies.
- Assist the Director of Nursing and faculty in the preparation of various reports and surveys.
- Assist in the preparation of Nursing events and meetings.
- Assist with processing of standardized testing protocol.
- Conduct tours of the nursing department and nursing skills & simulation lab.
- Assist with room, media, and catering requests.
- Assist with nursing pinning & hooding ceremonies each semester.
- Coordinate student and faculty orientations and materials.
- Hire and supervise student workers and graduate assistants.
- Assist Director of Nursing with part-time faculty contracts.
- Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.
