About The Position

Realtor.com® is seeking a Staff Art Director to lead the design thinking behind their next national platform. This role involves conceptualizing and executing integrated campaigns across various media, including TV, digital, and social platforms. The Staff Art Director will be responsible for driving the brand narrative, scaling creative output, and building systems for efficient execution. They will also mentor a team of designers, foster a culture of innovation, and champion inclusive design principles. The position requires a creative powerhouse capable of crafting "big idea" platforms that resonate emotionally and scale effortlessly, working collaboratively with a copy partner and project managers. The company emphasizes a hybrid work model, balancing in-person collaboration with flexibility.

Requirements

  • A portfolio proving you have built conceptual platforms that work across TV, digital, and social without falling apart.
  • Experience co-leading creative teams.
  • Experience presenting to C-suite stakeholders.
  • Ability to design and think strategically, seeing the design system inside the campaign and building both simultaneously.
  • 8+ years of professional design experience.
  • Proven track record of leading national-scale conceptual campaigns.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AI tools like Gemini and Claude.
  • Experience with Figma MCP.

Responsibilities

  • Co-lead the development of big conceptual idea platforms and integrated campaigns that live across National TV, YouTube, and social ecosystems.
  • Guide teams through ideation and execution, ensuring all output, from video to digital experiences and display units align with the core idea platform and our brand design language.
  • Build upon successful playbooks and frameworks to create the next generation of Realtor.com’s brand moments.
  • Leverage AI and motion frameworks to build scalable templates and design systems.
  • Lead creative reviews with confidence, providing strategic feedback that connects visual execution back to the creative brief, "big idea" and business goals.
  • Inspire and develop senior and mid-level designers, fostering a culture of curiosity and high-caliber craft.
  • Partner seamlessly with your copy counterpart and Project Manager(s) to maintain a healthy, high-output creative team.
  • Ensure our national stories represent the diverse lived experiences of home buyers and veterans everywhere.
  • Embrace ownership—delivering quality, speed, and clarity of communication.
  • Push for innovation—testing new formats and approaches in digital and event design.
  • Build partnerships across teams—energizing collaborators and driving better outcomes together.
