About The Position

We are looking for someone who is great with numbers, highly engaging, and customer-focused to join our team as a Staff Accountant. The successful candidate for this role is engaging, highly detail-oriented, and open to learning and leading by example. This individual responds in a professional and courteous manner to guests and team members, while also supporting the team both personally and professionally.

Requirements

  • Experienced in basic accounting processes.
  • Associate college degree or equivalent experience/training.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language.
  • Ability to accomplish necessary tasks on a computer

Nice To Haves

  • Hotel Finance/accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly accounting postings and deadlines for one or more hotel properties.
  • Perform daily income audits, review system reports, and balance daily transactions.
  • Handle accounts payable functions, including processing and posting invoices and completing weekly check runs.
  • Record bi-weekly payroll and month-end payroll journal and statistical entries.
  • Perform weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations in accordance with established deadlines.
  • Prepare and file local and state monthly/quarterly sales, use, and occupancy taxes.
  • Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Assist with month-end journal entries and closing duties.
  • Process and mail year-end 1099 forms.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all departments.
  • Train team members and assist with coordinating accounting processes.
