About The Position

This position will be part of the team responsible for maintenance of accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), credit cards, cash management, and governmental/agency reporting and filing. This individual is expected to own or support activities across the entire accounting function, while joining cross-functional projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required
• 1-3 years of experience in general accounting.
• General understanding of US GAAP
• Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills with focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be self-driven with the ability to work independently and adapt to change

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Oracle NetSuite is preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute transactional activities associated with AP & AR processes
• Manage and track the company’s insurance renewals, applications, payments, and business license renewals.
• Support accurate and timely completion of periodic, quarterly, and year end close activities as required
• Preparation of journal entries, accruals, and account analysis with supporting documentation
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations
• Support sales & use tax activities, along with internal tax and treasury requests
• Respond to informational requests, reviewing financial statements, and assist with audits
• Assist with ad-hoc assignments, as needed
