About The Position

Join National DCP, LLC (NDCP) as a Staff Accountant, where you’ll play a key role in supporting Accounting and Finance. Under the direction of the General Ledger Accounting Supervisor, the Staff Accountant supports the accuracy and integrity of the fixed asset subledger and related general ledger accounts. Key responsibilities include processing capital project additions, transfers, retirements and disposals; running and reviewing depreciation; reconciling fixed asset activity to the general ledger; and supporting month-end close and reporting. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently from general direction, and hands-on experience using SAP to maintain asset master data and post fixed asset transactions. The Staff Accountant partners with Operations, IT, and project stakeholders to ensure assets are properly capitalized in accordance with company policy and GAAP. Requirements

Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting
Strong knowledge of GAAP
CPA track
1+ year of accounting experience, with exposure to fixed asset accounting preferred
Highly detailed oriented and organized in work
Ability to meet assigned deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
Working knowledge of fixed asset concepts (capitalization, depreciation, retirements/disposals, and CIP)
SAP experience (preferably FI/AA fixed asset module), including ability to run standard reports and post asset transactions
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, and data reconciliation)

Responsibilities

Maintain the fixed asset subledger in SAP, including asset master data set-up and updates, asset classifications, useful lives and depreciation keys
Process fixed asset additions, transfers, retirements and disposals in SAP; ensure appropriate supporting documentation and approvals are obtained and retained
Review capital expenditures activity; support capitalization of completed projects and communicate with business partners as needed
Run and validate monthly depreciation in SAP
Prepare monthly reconciliations of fixed asset subledger to related general ledger accounts; investigate variances and post correcting entries as needed
Support month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, account analysis and fixed asset reporting for management
Assist with internal and external audits by providing fixed asset schedules, roll forwards and supporting documentation; ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
Identify opportunities to improve fixed asset processes and documentation (e.g., capitalization thresholds, asset tagging, retirements) and support related projects as assigned
Assist with receiving, sorting, logging (as needed), and distributing incoming mail and notices for the Tax Department
Assist the Tax Department with preparation support and timely processing of periodic tax payments and filings as assigned (e.g., Sweetened Beverage Tax, Delaware Gross Receipts, Ohio CAT), including compiling support, coordinating approvals, and maintaining payment documentation
Support annual property tax compliance by preparing asset listings and assisting with property tax renditions, audits, and related documentation
