About The Position

The Staff Accountant performs accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and month-end transactions within the Finance department. The role works under the direction of the Controller with general supervision and interacts with all levels of the organization. Responsibilities include supporting financial close activities, preparing reports and analyses, following corporate accounting policies and internal controls, and identifying ways to improve accounting processes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with an Accounting focus.
5+ years of previous accounting experience.

Nice To Haves

Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Previous experience working with an ERP system; JDE and UKG experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Perform accounts payable duties, including invoice processing, three-way matching, KPI work, and research as appropriate.
Support the Travel and Expense Reporting Software (Concur) process.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
Assist with management reports, financial analyses, and ad hoc reporting requests.
Assist in developing local methods and procedures in line with corporate requirements.
Demonstrate understanding and support of the organization's Vision, Mission, and Core values, and apply them consistently.
Ensure adherence to corporate accounting policies and internal controls.
Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and automation of accounting processes.
Participate in audits and provide supporting documentation as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
