The Staff Accountant plays an integral role in the Company’s financial close process, with a primary focus on ensuring the accurate recording of financial transactions in the general ledger. Responsibilities include preparing journal entries, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting overall month-end close activities. Requirements

Basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and the ability to apply the principles to specific situations
Ability to work collaboratively with other team members
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills
Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize among multiple tasks and objectives
Ability to demonstrate high integrity, especially in maintaining confidential information
Ability to adapt in their performance of job duties according to manager feedback
Microsoft Office Suite, most importantly Excel, Outlook, and Teams
Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university required.
No prior experience required.

Nice To Haves

0-2 years of public accounting or industry experience preferred.
CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepares and posts journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
Analyzes balance sheet accounts and prepares corresponding reconciliations.
Responds promptly to requests and inquiries.
Retrieves, processes, and analyzes data from various sources.
Maintains supporting accounting schedules.
Collaborates with team members across the company.
Adheres to compliance with company policies and procedures and applicable internal controls.
Other duties as assigned.
