About The Position
The Senior Corporate Accountant role is a cross-functional role that will serve the Corporate Finance team in a variety of accounting and finance activities. This role will work closely with the Manager of Corporate Accounting and the larger finance team with month-end close, financial reporting, and special projects. This role will require knowledge of month-end close best practices, automation, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently and with multiple departments. This position will report to the Manager of Corporate Accounting and will have direct C-suite exposure.
Requirements
- Public accounting background and CPA strongly preferred
- Solid grasp of GAAP and general ledger accounting
- Ability to analyze and interpret large financial datasets to identify trends and discrepancies; familiarity with SQL (joins, basic querying) or eagerness to learn is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, strong formula writing, etc.)
- NetSuite and Ramp experience is a plus, but not required
- Attention to detail and quality
- Strong organization and time management skills; ability to effectively handle multiple projects
- Excellent communication skills
- A proactive self-starter who takes ownership of tasks, operates independently, and is comfortable taking initiative and thinking creatively to solve problems when faced with the unknown
- Bachelor or higher in Accounting and/or Finance
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with SQL (joins, basic querying) or eagerness to learn
- NetSuite and Ramp experience
Responsibilities
- Prepare month-end journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare monthly internal and external financial reporting packages
- Assist with annual financial statement preparation, audit, and other compliance requirements
- Prepare ad-hoc reporting as needed
- Analyze underlying data to catch discrepancies, trends, and anomalies
- Improve and automate processes where possible, leveraging AI tools to drive efficiency
