About The Position

As a Staff Accountant at Neighborly, a typical day for you will include: Perform monthly closing activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, accrual schedules, variance analysis & commentary, financial statements, and reporting. Ensure compliance with GAAP and Company policies and procedures. Assist management with financial statements review. Analyze financial information, reports (detailing income, expenses, assets, and liabilities), and prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, statement of cash flows, and other reports. Review and record sales contracts. Perform balance sheet account reconciliations. Understand and apply generally accepted accounting principles. Prepare commissions and bonuses for the approval process. Prepare schedules, test samples, footnotes, and related disclosures in support of the external audit. Use software such as Microsoft Suites (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams), Dynamics, Great Plains, SAP Concur, and Northridge Loan Management Software.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two (2) years of recent related experience is required.
  • Intermediate-level knowledge of the Microsoft suite (Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) is required.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/financial system.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting required
