About The Position

Full-time, on-site accounting role with an established medical practice in Augusta, GA. For the past 40 years, Augusta ENT PC has been providing a full spectrum of specialty care for people of all ages across the CSRA and Statesboro. With 5 offices, 16 physicians, and a variety of services Augusta ENT PC strives to help everyone feel their very best. The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing the organization's accounts payable function while supporting general accounting activities, financial reporting, and the monthly close process. This role combines strong operational accounting with technical accounting responsibilities, ensuring accurate financial records, timely vendor payments, and compliance with internal controls. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented accounting professional with solid knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), experience in a multi-entity environment, and a desire to continuously improve accounting processes.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in accounting or finance required
3+ years of progressive accounting experience including substantial accounts payable responsibility
Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems
Highly detail-oriented, organized, analytical, and able to manage multiple competing priorities
Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience with AP automation platforms such as Bill.com, Divvy, or similar, preferred
Healthcare, physician-practice, multi-location, and/or multi-entity accounting experience, preferred
