The Staff Accountant will have a broad set of responsibilities, encompassing comprehensive elements of the role: accounting, transaction processing, account reconciliation, and financial analysis. Requirements

Degree in Accounting or 2+ years prior accounting experience
Superior communication and interpersonal skills
Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office suite of products.
Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining superior quality and accuracy
Aptitude for detailed work, data analysis, problem solving and follow-up

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working with business software programs a plus, including Sage Intaact, ServiceTitan, and Quickbooks.

Responsibilities

Prepare supporting schedules and record regular journal entries in general ledger systems
Prepare general ledger account reconciliations on a monthly basis across affiliated companies
Fixed asset maintenance in sub-ledger and general ledger across affiliated companies
Perform monthly expense account analysis to ensure accurate cost reporting
Review transactional details and postings for accuracy and reasonableness
Review job costing to ensure accurate recording of revenues and expenses
Various additional accounting and financial reporting tasks
Serve as backup to other Accounting Department team members
Special projects as assigned
