About The Position
SkyHop Global is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team, with a primary focus on accounts payable. This role will be heavily involved in day-to-day transactional accounting, supporting the monthly close process, and gaining exposure to broader accounting functions over time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
- Experience with QuickBooks is required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
Nice To Haves
- Strong Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and the ability to reconcile data sets) are highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data reconciliation preferred
Responsibilities
- Manage and process high-volume accounts payable transactions
- Review, code, and enter vendor invoices accurately and timely in QuickBooks
- Prepare and process vendor payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Support accounts receivable processes as needed
- Assist with customer invoicing and application of customer payments
- Assist with monthly close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Support audit requests and provide documentation as needed
- Communicate with internal teams (Fleet, Operations, Legal) to ensure accurate expense tracking
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency
