This role plays a key part in delivering accurate accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of private funds. The Staff Accountant will collaborate closely with clients, auditors, and internal teams to ensure reporting deadlines are met and services are delivered to the highest standard. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong accounting knowledge with the ability to apply accounting principles in a practical and commercial way.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, combined with excellent attention to detail.
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong overall proficiency with financial systems and technology.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Professional, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement and delivering high-quality service.

Nice To Haves

• CPA qualification and/or Master's degree is advantageous, but not required.
• Previous experience in fund accounting, finance, or a similar accounting role is preferred.
• Knowledge of US GAAP is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records for assigned funds, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare capital call and distribution notices, partner allocations, and investor reporting, including capital account statements and performance metrics.
• Produce financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with US GAAP.
• Develop a strong understanding of fund structures, transactions, and reporting requirements to ensure timely and accurate delivery of client deliverables.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, investors, auditors, and other professional advisers, responding to queries and supporting reporting and audit processes.
• Ensure regulatory, statutory, and client reporting requirements are met while adhering to internal policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
• Contribute to process improvements, operational efficiency initiatives, and the enhancement of internal controls.
• Support additional projects and responsibilities as required.
