About The Position

Clemens Food Group is a sixth-generation, family-owned company rooted in integrity, hard work, and stewardship. We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team and contribute to core accounting functions in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in general ledger accounting and month-end close who is looking to grow and take on more ownership over time. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the general ledger and close process while working cross-functionally across the business.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
1–3 years of accounting experience (internships considered if hands-on with GL/close)
Experience or exposure to: Journal entries
Experience or exposure to: Month-end close
Experience or exposure to: Account reconciliations
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

Experience in manufacturing, food production, or a high-volume environment
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Yardi, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
Exposure to financial reporting or budgeting

Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and adjustments
Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Support and execute aspects of the month-end close process in a high-volume environment
Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules
Assist with financial reporting, variance analysis, and account analysis
Compile and review cash management reporting
Support budgeting and forecasting activities
Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial data
Identify and support process improvements and efficiencies
Generate monthly billing for real estate tenants
