About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, executing daily accounting tasks, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of accounting principles, thrives in a collaborative environment, and possesses excellent problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • At least 2 to 3 years of professional accounting experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with accounting software packages (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage).
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations.
  • Exceptional mathematical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Record, allocate, post, and reconcile daily financial transactions, including accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), and general ledger entries.
  • Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Assist the senior accounting team with month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and accruals.
  • Help prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Review financial records for accuracy and legal compliance. Prepare necessary documentation and provide support for internal and external auditors.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend ways to reduce costs, enhance revenue, and streamline accounting procedures.
