About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support the Controller and executive leadership team in managing the Company’s accounting and financial operations across all divisions of IGS Industries. This position plays a key role in day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing or multi-entity accounting environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the President, Controller, Accounting Clerk, and Human Resource Manager to support company-wide financial operations.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions, in coordination with of the Accounting Clerk.
  • Oversee customer invoicing and billing processes.
  • Perform monthly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
  • Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls, including process design, documentation, and system effectiveness, in coordination with the Controller.
  • Handle intercompany accounting transactions and assist in preparing consolidated and entity-specific financial statements.
  • Support the executive management team in the preparation of operating forecasts, budgets, or special reporting, as necessary, by collecting, critically analyzing, and consolidating financial data in conjunction with a deep understanding of historical financial information trends, and performance.
  • Perform administrative support tasks such as managing company mail and maintaining organized financial records.
  • Assist with external audits (ESOP, pension, and year-end), including preparing documentation and working with auditors.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.
