About The Position

The Staff Accountant, Manager is part of the Finance & Accounting team. This role contributes to the success of the company by ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all balance sheet and operating (opex) accounts. The Staff Accountant supports our vision by leading and synchronizing accounting and finance activities to deliver financial reporting on time and on point. As part of the centralized accounting team, this role spans all FOH and SPV entities and works in synchronicity with the other GL Manager.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher in Accounting
  • Minimum 5+ years in Accounting or field-related experience
  • Minimum 3+ year in leadership and coaching experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications
  • Proficient in ERP systems, SAP Business One Accounting System

Responsibilities

  • Maintains the general ledger of US (GAAP) and international (IFRS) entities, preparing account reconciliations, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • In collaboration with the GL Manager, orchestrates the full-cycle accounting and ERP activities of multiple team members and multiple entities to ensure all month end duties are completed on time and on point.
  • Orchestrates the cyclical accounting and ERP activities of multiple team members to ensure all month end duties are completed accurately and on time: By the 10th business day for FOH Inc, FOH Mexico and FOH Europe and the 15th business day for SPVs.
  • Assists in upholding the integrity of our general ledger by understanding the annual budget outcomes from both line-item coding and budgeted amount perspectives.
  • In support of separation of duties, completes the posting of AR payment receipts and outgoing AP disbursements promptly each morning so the reciprocal GL manager can complete the daily bank reconciliations. Additionally, for AP, verbally verifies payment change instructions submitted by vendor business partners.
  • In support of separation of duties, completes the 3-way match of supply chain/manufacturing transactions that is facilitated by R&S Mayer WOFE.
  • Supports the Controller in ensuring VAT liabilities and disbursements for foreign subsidiary departments.
  • Possesses strong competency of accounts payable processing and AR/collections to act as a resource or backup as needed.
  • Updates the departmental standards as needed.
  • In collaboration with colleagues, maintains, upholds and adheres to the month end checklist deadlines and activities.
  • Supports the Finance leadership team in administering annual departmental budgets.
  • Posts approved journal entries.
  • Reconciles and electronically documents balance sheet accounts monthly to ensure audit-readiness.
  • Engages in annual and ad hoc external audits as needed.
  • Actively participates in all one-on-one and group meetings.
  • Contributes to the enhancement of our financial software: Data rails(FPA), SAP, Brex.
  • Identifies and updates workflows needed to streamline the communication between Accounting & Finance and other departments, as well as within the department.
  • Leads the AR and AP teams.
  • Maintains records of Team Members’ achievements, productivity, and development opportunities to prepare and deliver on-time IDPs and annual reviews.
  • Processes and approves accurate and timely payroll for core team members.
  • Appreciates the relationship between recognition, reinforcement, and results.
  • Conducts one-on-one meetings with team weekly to ensure prompt feedback and training/development.
  • Assists in other duties and projects as needed and directed.
