About The Position

Sunshine Meadows, known for its stunning alpine setting in the Canadian Rockies and ranked the #1 day hike in Canada, offers visitors unparalleled views of colorful wildflowers and surrounding peaks. This role ensures an exceptional experience for staff members by cleaning and maintaining washrooms, common areas, and assisting with room preparations during staff transitions. Custodians may also help with general repairs and maintenance. The role involves physical demands such as manual labor, lifting, and carrying, and requires close collaboration with team members. This position operates under the supervision of the Foreperson and reports directly to the Staff Accommodation Assistant Supervisor.

This role may operate hand tools.

Nice To Haves

Previous cleaning experience in a professional cleaning environment is considered an asset.
Previous repair/maintenance experience considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent employee and guest service.
Performs routine cleaning and maintenance activities to maintain overall cleanliness of washrooms, hallways, vacant rooms, and common areas in all staff accommodation buildings.
Responsible for garbage, recycling, and litter removal.
Assist with managing inventory of cleaning supplies.
Notify supervisor regarding the need for repairs.
Other duties as assigned.
