Sets up and operates both automatic and manual assembly lines, assembles parts to specifications. Satisfies SA’s Quality goals and objectives in completion of activities or duties. Maintains and provides a safe work area and works in a safe manner. Completes Hourly checks using In Process Check Sheets and Gaging to ensure parts meet Quality Specifications. Notifies Team Leader of any suspect material and helps to contain material line side. Completes changeovers using Changeover Procedure, attaching fixtures and jigs to the table positions, changing out Station changeover pieces, and filling in Changeover checklist. Completes standardized work in accordance with Work Instructions, removing material from boxes and placing in fixture or on conveyor. Moves parts from machine to machine as the process is completed. Observes and listens to machine operation to detect malfunctions. Measures and inspects parts for conformance to specifications, using in process sheets, visual checks and gaging. Notifies Team Leader of any abnormal or unusual condition. Completes line PM’s (planned maintenance) as assigned. Submits kaizen suggestions for improvements.
